Want To Support What We Do?
Do you have a love of history? We are always looking for people with a passion for both history and New Brunswick to help us research and catalog our findings on Black History.
Would you like to have a display or presentation given at your workplace or community event? We love sharing our research. Contact us for more information!
We can't do this alone. Support from our community will help us to continue our research and develop further projects that will give back to our New Brunswick communities.
It is with great sorrow that the New Brunswick Black History Society shares the passing of the President of our Board of Directors, James (Skip) Arthur Talbot, on 13-Apr-2022 surrounded by family.
Not only was he a dedicated President and supportive leader. He was a retired telecommunication and electronic data transfer technologist for Transport Canada. "Skip" as he is known throughout Canada, was dedicated to advancing equality and cross-cultural understanding. He has served in top executive roles with MAGMA, NBMC, Prude INC., and the Canadian Bar Association; as well as dedicated his heart and soul to so many more organizations; such as the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Commissioner’s Advisory Committee for multiculturalism and the Moncton Press Club.
